TREPPOJA CASCADE

Treppoja Cascade is located in the place where Illurma Klint starts, is about 10 km long and has a catchment of 20 km². Treppoja descends via limestone plateau slope into Lahepere Bay. Along a hundred metres, with a width of 2-15 m, there are up to six, maximum 1,5 m high, cascades here- it is a wonderful natural spectacle! Due to low quantity of water, the cascade has been unable to develop a canyon valley, but with its gentle waters, the cascade is a real attraction. Treppoja is one of Estonia’s most beautiful cascades and visiting it, no matter if it is summer or winter, is always exciting. A pedestrian bridge, from which it is secure to view the surroundings, has been constructed for the convenience of visitors.

PAKRI LIGHTHOUSE & KLINT

This lighthouse is situated on the north-western tip of the Pakri peninsula on a high slate bluff marking the water’s edge of a very important shipping lane along the northern coast. A similar structure has stood here since the time of Swedish rule. A new slate lighthouse was ordered to be erected there by Peter I in 1724. Another, even bigger (48-foot) lighthouse replaced it in 1760 – possibly a reconstruction of the original. A new stone lighthouse was completed 80 metres from its predecessor in 1889. Due to natural collapse of the cliff face, the old structure had ended up too close to the edge and had to be demolished. The hight of the klint is about 22–24 m high.

TÜRISALU KLINT

Türisalu klint is one of the most impressive nature object on the Northern Estonian limestone coast, towering up to 31 metres. Platform of the Türisalu klint with its romantic sea view and easy access is a popular destination among the citizens of Tallinn; the high vantage point affords a breathtaking view of the sea and Vääna-Jõesuu beach. During a windy day, you can enjoy the view without leaving your car in the car park by the platform. If you would like to get closer to waves, then you should use a trail descending along the klint. Trails go in both directions from the platform; if you go east, or to the right, you can see the wonderful limestone klint from underneath.
